I am committed to lead UNOPS to meet the targets set by the Secretary-General’s UN System-Wide Strategy on Gender Parity.

I am committed to lead UNOPS to achieve the equal representation of men and women across our workforce, irrespective of levels – by 2020.

Organize at least one high-level event on gender equality in security in partnership with organizations of the UN Security Management System.

Foster an equitable, diverse and inclusive work environment through cross-functional initiatives, such as training on diversity, civility and inclusive leadership.

Listening is at the core of effective advocating. I will be a strong advocate based on meeting with and listening to female students, entrepreneurs, civil society representatives and officials. I want to learn from their work, perspectives and experiences. I commit to making their voices heard in all I do and say and will highlight their experiences at the highest possible levels.

Youth is critical to creating the shared future we want. I will do my utmost to see young women from least developed countries, landlocked developing countries and small island developing states fully participate in the work of the United Nations. I will encourage them to participate in the UN secretariat’s Young Professional Programme.

Promote a network of women leaders in Geneva, fostering mutual support and solidarity.

Promote a workplace culture based on gender equality, including through trainings and awareness raising activities.

Further improve gender balance in Justice Rapid Response’s work, by achieving a minimum of 50% women experts deployed on missions at the end of 2018.

Strengthen gender mainstreaming in Justice Rapid Response’s work by providing Sexual and Gender-based Violence Justice expertise to over 50% of JRR missions conducted in 2018.
