Actively promote gender equality and women's leadership at the United Nations through social media.

Promote appointment of female candidates to high-level positions, noting the statutory requirement that the paramount consideration shall be to secure employees of the highest standards of efficiency, technical competence, and integrity.

Host at least two side-events per year with the focus on women and girls economic and political empowerment.

Seek for an enabling working environment for women, both for diplomatic staff and locally-hired staff, and raise awareness of the importance of work-life balance.

Whenever the Mission hosts/organizes meetings and workshops, it will pay due attention to gender balance in terms of key participants, thereby enhancing women’s participation.

Measures against sexual harassment: Guarantee that all staff of the Permanent Mission of Switzerland read, understand and apply the code of conduct of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and actively support the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment in the OSCE, UN and other international organizations in Vienna.

Ensure the participation of women on all panels during the Swiss Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-Operation.

Work to further incorporate gender dimensions into trade -related through raising awareness on the link between trade and gender; facilitating WTO members' action on trade and gender including the implementation of the Buenos Aires Declaration; generating new data on the impact of trade on women; and, providing training to government officials and to women entrepreneurs.

Provide on-going training and developmental initiatives relating to leadership, strategic networking and work/life balance. Offer mentoring, peer coaching and executive coaching interventions so that female staff at all levels receive tailored, sustained support to best manage their careers. Undertake an assessment process. Establish a network for female directors in the WTO Secretariat and UN organizations.

Support strong language on gender equality and on combating violence against women, including FGM, within the Human Rights Council.
