Virtual Algorithms 101 is a biweekly multidisciplinary 45 minute series in April featuring a different special guest, internationally renowned and expert, working to achieve inclusive algorithms that upturn the current path of Automated Decision-Making (ADM).
The series will set the landscape of gender bias in ADM (highlighting real world examples) and share best practices and innovative tools and practices not only to mitigate, but to correct for gender and racial bias in AI & ADM.
Why and where can algorithms be gender biased? What practical tools and solutions can be used to mitigate and proactively correct for real life gender biases in AI? With the explosion of new technologies and the data revolution, what happens next? How can we use a human rights framework to ensure inclusion and gender equality in algorithms in the future we create? What is a feminist vision for an inclusive digitial future?
