The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2022 (#IWD2022) is, “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, recognizing the contribution of women and girls around the world. In this session we will profile some of these women experts who work on global projects to monitor, mitigate and adapt to a changing climate, and to build a more sustainable future for all.
Join this session to hear:
- how nuclear and isotopic techniques, used on land and in the ocean, help improve the livelihoods of millions of women impacted by climate change; and
- how the IAEA promotes women to play an increasing role in helping countries adapt to and be more resilient to a changing climate.
