IAEA invites you to a panel discussion with their first women leaders of the organisation. IAEA women leaders will share their journeys with DG Grossi’s participation to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

Panellists will share their motivation to work in science and provide insights into their path to the IAEA and discuss the importance of diversity in leadership. They will also discuss organisational policies and practices that have facilitated their professional success and offer career advice for future generations of leaders.

The 60-minute panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer session.

Panellists will include:

- Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the IAEA
- Najat Mokhtar, the current and first female Deputy Director-General of the IAEA Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications
- Elena Buglova, the current Director of the IAEA Division of Nuclear Security and the first woman Head of the IAEA Incident and Emergency Centre
- Meera Venkatesh, the first woman Director of the IAEA Division of Physical and Chemical Science
- Gabriele Voigt, the first woman Director of the IAEA Office of Safeguards Analytical Services and former president of Women in Nuclear global
