All-Day

In 5 years, the IGC community has expanded to over 400 Champions across six hubs, embedded the Panel Parity Pledge in public practice, and created a platform for Champions to be inspired to make over 1000 personal commitments to advance gender equality. Impact groups have harnessed the collective intelligence and power of members to advance laws, policies and better practices in trade, disarmament, standards, representation, justice and change management.

The anniversary falls as Covid-19 disrupts our way of life and work, this is a critical moment to reflect on what has contributed to IGC’s success so far, and what mindsets and actions will be ‘game changers’ going forward? This is a major opportunity to reshape the future of work, harness talent and develop creative solutions to the challenges of the twenty first century. More inclusive and equitable environments are key to this - as the famous saying goes ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’; this is a critical time to revisit the IGC’s core values, and to identify the practices and behaviours amongst us that can move us forward faster as well as to identify the policy gaps that remain.

To mark IGC's Fifth Anniversary, a week-long celebration will be organized from Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July 2020 which will include, among others:

  • Champions & Alumni Kick-off event on Monday 29 June from 15:00 to 16:30 CET (open to Champions & Alumni only). Please kindly register here

The event will include a presentation of key achievements & highlights of IGC’s story of transformation, a word from each hub, the launch of the Gender Champions Challenge and Group discussions in virtual breakout rooms.

  • Focal Points edition on Tuesday 30 June from 15:00 to 15:30 CET (open to IGC focal points only). Please kindly register here

  • An Online Edition on Friday 3 July 2020 – Details on how to participate will be shared during the Focal Points edition: IGC Focal points will be invited to show how the IGC is #ChampioningNewNorms and share examples of policies, practices and behaviours that have made a difference to them and their work. This participatory forum will serve to shine a spotlight on what has worked in the network, inspire further action and thoughts for what is needed next.
